Portrait Party Information

Portrait Parties are a fun opportunity to have beautiful professional images of your children and family. There is NO SESSION FEE. The event takes place at your home, where the children are comfortable and natural. As Host, you will invite 5-12 guests and their children to the event. The host will receive a complimentary portrait and earn more FREE portraits from their party sales.

You – and each guest family – will be scheduled for a 20 minute child’s photography session. In that time period, I will capture 10+ images of your family in a “studio” environment. During each guest’s 20 minute session, images of groups, individuals or a combination of both can be taken. What is a Portrait Party?

There are home parties for candles, jewelry, and baking supplies – now is your chance to host a home party that is truly unique! Quality professional portraits are something that your guests will treasure for a lifetime.

Portrait Parties are an exciting opportunity for you and your friends to have professional portraits made in a fun and affordable way. Portrait Parties take place in your home (if you are the host) or any other suitable location. The host invites between 5 and 12 families to the party and for their hard work, enjoys credits toward portraits. It is a low stress, fun opportunity to have beautiful portraits made of yourself or your children in a low pressure, relaxed atmosphere. Photos can be of adults, families, children… whomever, but they will have a time limit to approximately 20 minutes each. No selling will occur at the party. You and your friends will just get together, have some light refreshments and enjoy visiting and having your pictures made.

How Does it Work?

As the host or hostess of a home portrait party, you invite friends and family members to your home for a special photo session. Hosts provide the location, coordinate the hors’doeuvres, drinks, activities, the guest list and scheduling the 20 minute session times. Our mobile studio comes to your home, business, or community clubhouse for the event. We ask for 5-12 guests. Your guests are welcome to bring their families, pets, props, etc. – anything or anyone whom they would like to be included in their portraits.

In return, you will receive an 8×10 and 2-5×7 portraits absolutely free! You can also earn other incentives, depending on the amount of sales during your party.
Guests enjoy a good time, a free portrait session and their children enjoy a short and concise sitting. Everyone involved will have a good time and the children will actually look forward to the next party! How do I Schedule a Portrait Party?

You will need to familiarize yourself with what you and your guests will need to do to put the party together. Then contact Inspirited Images to ensure availability – you might put together several prospective dates to ensure everyone’s schedules match up – and to find out everything you need to know to have a super successful party. After the first party you will be well on your way to becoming a portrait junkie!

If I Host a Portrait Party, What Are My Responsibilities?

The Portrait Party is organized by the party Host. The Party Host is the key ingredient to a successful party. Hosts invite guests, coordinate the bringing of snacks and drinks (if not providing themselves) and the scheduling of sessions. Successful hosts follow up with their guests with reminders and to ensure that every session block is filled to get the most portrait credits possible.

After the party, the guests will visit the Inspirited Images website provided to view their portraits. Hosts follows up with their guests to ensure they place orders within 10 days. After all guests have ordered the host will then be able to place an order based on freebies earned from their guests purchases. Please contact us for more information.

In terms of space, we will need space for setting up our backdrops and lights ~ preferably a living or family room, OR provide us with an outdoor setting appropriate for portraits.

Do I Receive Free Portraits if I Host a Portrait Party?

Absolutely. The primary benefit of hosting a party aside from having a lot of fun is to build enough portrait credits to pay for your families pictures. As host you will receive one 8×10 and two 5×7 complimentary photographs of your family. In addition, you will receive portrait rewards based on the amount of sales resulting from your party. You can earn additional rewards if your guests decide to book a full portrait session or portrait party of their own.

While it is a bit of work, after hosting your first party you will quickly find yourself a portrait junkie and be able to look back at the years of hosting parties with a wealth of family portraits covering your walls!

I’m Attending my First Portrait Party, What Should I Do?

As a guest at a portrait party you get to have the most fun! Your host may ask you to bring a snack or beverage to share and will let you know what color backdrop will be used for the party so you can dress appropriately. When you arrive, you will need to fill out a Portrait Party Guest Form.

Approximately a week after the party you will receive an email with a link to your photos on Inspirited Images proofing website. Your portrait portfolio will be online for ten days, and during that time you will need to place your order. You may order online or save on shipping/handling and place your order with your host.
Please thank your host and let her know when you have placed your order online since she won’t be able to order her portraits until everyone has done so. In addition to prints you may purchase a CD with every full size image taken of your family – just let your host know if you would like one.

Important Note: Please let your host know if you will not be able to make your scheduled session. Your host has put a lot of effort into your portrait party please be courteous and ensure your invited to the next party!

What are the Charges for my Guests?

There are no session fees or charges for the guests to come and have their pictures made. No selling will occur at the time of the party. All proofs will be available for viewing online within 5-7 business days from the party. There will be 5-10+ proofs to view for each mini-session. Guests have two options on placing orders. They can order online (shipping/handling charges apply) or save money by placing orders with their host and pay with personal check or cash. All orders for prints will need to be placed within 10 days of the party to count toward the hostess benefits.
